I figured that this end to our season has eaten me up alive. The only way to deal with it is to go to the game and deal with it. If anyone is interested in grabbing some lunch and going to the game give me a call today or tommorow. I would like to meet up in Staten Island around 1 to 130. I think we should show the league that we are here and strong and have not run away. I know i will be in black and orange. Hopefully you too. So let me know what's up guys?

LIONS after talking to the league ceo we arent gonna be playing in the championship game. The kings will be there as they deserve it , they beat us fair and square. congrats on a great season, we will see u guys on tues. for the team meeting. Keep your heads up high cause in mine and pauls book u are all winners! I still feel we are the better team overall, they were just the better team that night! There is a mandatory team meeting for all players and coaches of the NJ Lions next Tuesday, November 10th at 7pm at the fieldhouse. Voting for team awards, awards dinner details, and other matters will be handled. All players are required to bring their playbooks and practice jerseys (regardless of their conditions) to the meeting to be handed in. Failure to do so will result in monetary fines. It is important that everyone attend, no excuses.

Also, this meeting is for CURRENT NJ Lions players. No one else will be allowed in. Pass the word if you see this message and I will also personally call you all to confirm.

Open Letter to the entire Lions Family

Gentlemen, what can I say that does not sound like coach speak or clich. We played a very good team in the Kings, no denying that. We fought tooth and nail with them for four quarters but unfortunately in a long season it sometimes comes down to an inch here, an inch there....one play here, one play there. We won all year as a team and we lost as a team. That's the important thing!!!

My suggestion is to take some time off and let the emotions of this loss settle down. But no later than Thanksgiving, start preparing for the 2010 season. Hit the weights, start running, read books and articles about your position....work on being a better overall player. I know the coaches will be studying and going to clinics to hone our craft even more.

I can't make any guarantees, but I will guarantee you this. We will be building the best team possible for next season. No one is guaranteed anything. There are no more captains, no more starters, no more guaranteed roster spots. Everyone is going to earn their way. If your single solitary goal for the 2010 season is not to win the RAFL championship, you will not be welcomed here. Everyone needs to be dedicated to that one goal....not stats, not playing time, nothing else. I know I will be focused this off-season and "22-21" will be in head all winter long, eating away at me.

On a personal note, I want to thank my ex-teammates for treating like a coach and not an ex-teammate this season. You guys made my transition a smooth one. For the rookies, thank you for being a great bunch of guys and working as hard you did (vets this goes for you too). To my Dline, thank you guys for being warriors all year for me and this team. You guys were an honor to coach and no matter how much I asked of you, you guys refused to not keep working. Let's keep it going in 2010.....D.....Line.....All....Day!!!!! To the coaches, I thank them because I learned so much from everyone one of you men. There is NOT a harder working group of coaches in semi-pro, period!!!

To the Castillos....you guys are like brothers to me. Thank you for giving so much trust and responsibilty when it came to this team. I know it takes alot for you guys to trust people and I hope I did exactly what you guys needed of me. I will continue working hard for you guys and this team going into 2010.

Last but not least, our fans!!!! You guys are amazing!!!! Thank you for the live and support you showed us this season. I didn't think you guys could be any better than you were in 2008, but I was wrong. Thank you for being diehards in the rain, cold, heat....no matter what. Words can't thank you all enough....but I know what will......cheering for us as we win the championship in 2010.

PS-to the RAFL.......WE ARE COMING IN 2010!!!!!! YOU BETTER BE READY!!!!

Its easy to get on here and praise all the good stuff we do week in and week out. Paul and myself are very happy with the effort and heart and soul u guys have put into this season. U guys are all a class act, we came up one point short of the big dance. Make sure u guys take the time out to reflect on the good things we did this year, learn from the things we didn't do so well! In closing we will be in contact with u guys sometime during next week to go over some stuff as we start to look forward to next year. have a great off season and we will talk to u guys soon! Tonight they were the better team, over all i still think we are the better team though. They just made a few more plays than we did! Congrats lions i'm very proud of each and everyone of u !

The time has come Lions. No more bs talking on the message board. No more talking about our "weaknesses". The time has come to meet us face to face. Time for us to teach someone else about respect, about winning, about winning with class, about winning the Lion way. I don't know about you all, but I am fed up of people thinking we are soft or aren't any good. Individually we are nothing special. But that's the beauty of it....Lions Football is not about individuality or "look at me". It's about a group of hungry Lions working as a family to impose their will on whoever we play. We are a black and orange family and when someone tries to call one of us out by name (i.e Kenny and Duff), you call us all out. And we never back down from challenges. Halloween night....the black and orange holiday....how approriate!!!! Let's make someone's Halloween full of nigtmares!!! It's time Lions to get what we deserve. We prepare as hard as anyone, practice as hard as anyone, and play as hard as anyone.....so dammit we earned!!!!!

Remember this saying....."Pressure causes two things to happen...pipes to burst or diamonds to be made". We sure as hell aren't pipes!!!!!

Yo let these foolz (fool) keep talking there(his) game. Cuz thats all it is. It just shows the difference in class & what we believe in, compaired to what they do. Were 12-0, with no need explain ourselves or call anyone out. Im saying this on our board to our family and thats just were it stays, Till saturday night rolls around and they have a cage fight on there hands. We've been tested, yes. We've been fought hard, yes. We've played teams with good coaching and great athletes, damn straight! Are we undefeated? You bet your god forsaken butts we are!!! Two reasons, coaching & commitment. Now we have two more commitments left till our next journey. The Kings and then whoever the RAFL Championship brings us. Strap the lids on tight, drink plenty of fluids, have a great practice tomorrow, and kiss the wives, gf's, children, & mothers goodbye because were going to war my brothers! Remember OUR HOUSE, OUR RULES... Let em talk.
