Gentlemen, what can I say that does not sound like coach speak or cliché. We played a very good team in the Kings, no denying that. We fought tooth and nail with them for four quarters but unfortunately in a long season it sometimes comes down to an inch here, an inch there....one play here, one play there. We won all year as a team and we lost as a team. That's the important thing!!!

My suggestion is to take some time off and let the emotions of this loss settle down. But no later than Thanksgiving, start preparing for the 2010 season. Hit the weights, start running, read books and articles about your position....work on being a better overall player. I know the coaches will be studying and going to clinics to hone our craft even more.

I can't make any guarantees, but I will guarantee you this. We will be building the best team possible for next season. No one is guaranteed anything. There are no more captains, no more starters, no more guaranteed roster spots. Everyone is going to earn their way. If your single solitary goal for the 2010 season is not to win the RAFL championship, you will not be welcomed here. Everyone needs to be dedicated to that one goal....not stats, not playing time, nothing else. I know I will be focused this off-season and "22-21" will be in head all winter long, eating away at me.

On a personal note, I want to thank my ex-teammates for treating like a coach and not an ex-teammate this season. You guys made my transition a smooth one. For the rookies, thank you for being a great bunch of guys and working as hard you did (vets this goes for you too). To my Dline, thank you guys for being warriors all year for me and this team. You guys were an honor to coach and no matter how much I asked of you, you guys refused to not keep working. Let's keep it going in 2010.....D.....Line.....All....Day!!!!! To the coaches, I thank them because I learned so much from everyone one of you men. There is NOT a harder working group of coaches in semi-pro, period!!!

To the Castillos....you guys are like brothers to me. Thank you for giving so much trust and responsibilty when it came to this team. I know it takes alot for you guys to trust people and I hope I did exactly what you guys needed of me. I will continue working hard for you guys and this team going into 2010.

Last but not least, our fans!!!! You guys are amazing!!!! Thank you for the live and support you showed us this season. I didn't think you guys could be any better than you were in 2008, but I was wrong. Thank you for being diehards in the rain, cold, heat....no matter what. Words can't thank you all enough....but I know what will......cheering for us as we win the championship in 2010.

PS-to the RAFL.......WE ARE COMING IN 2010!!!!!! YOU BETTER BE READY!!!!

Coach I don't know about anyone else but da lost 2 da damn kings I can never forget! Its really crazy wakin up knowin ya season over and dat we should have been in dat championship game! Everyday I'm sittin there lookin at my helmet and pads like damn, 4 months b4 you go back on and 8 month b4 you touch another color! Fa me there is no rest up! My offseason workouts started sunday after dat game! Fellas keep this in mind while working out this offseason, jus like in da game dat 1 extra block, 1 extra inch, 1 extra second we culda been in dat championship game. Take dat into ya workouts, 1 extra rep, 1 extra sprint, 1 extra hour of film study can be da difference in winning it all and fallin 1 F***ing point short of wat we all cum out to accomplish!!!!!!

Hey coach Juan n to all the coaches . I would like to say thank you for the opportunity to play on this team n takin me in n excepting me into lion family. I never would''ve thought that I would make these team. Coz after high school I stopped playing and after 5 years not playing football I felt rusty n I also I felt that I didn't have in me to play again . But I still had the fire n determination to play n when I tried out for this team man. I was shocked n overwhlemed with emotion when coach Juan called me and told 'You made it you are a Nj Lion . I felt a bunch of emotions ran through me like no other. After my conversation with jaun I set myself a goal n a mission for the season. I can say that I've reach my goals throught this entire 2009 football season. I would like to thank to jaun for push me n believing in me , Ive never had coach pushing beyond my comfort zone but the intensity with you pushed me juan made me a better d-lineman because of that coz took you me underwing n molded me into a better athlete.. And for that I thank you for the botto of my heart. I also thank you for making me into a better person . And to coach gregoire you the niciest person that I've ever met in my whole life. I thank coach gregoire for being their for me when I needed you I I thank you . Too all the coaches like Jeff and Paul I thank you guys for giving me an opportunity of a life time to play on you team for that I love n respect you guys as a person as coaches . I will be back next season a person n player . I consider all of yo u coaches n teammates as my family n brothers . And again thank you for everything . Your lion brother Kervin #33
